Western Australia has the ingredients to become a trusted green compute hub for the Indo-Pacific — renewables potential, critical minerals, space, political and economic stability, time-zone alignment with Southeast Asia, subsea connectivity and proximity to high-growth digital markets. Meanwhile demand is accelerating in Southeast Asia for clean, secure, scalable compute, but delivery depends on more than vision: it requires aligned planning, investment readiness, permitting pathways, technical coordination and credible community outcomes.
This roundtable convenes hyperscalers, data centre and edge providers, distributed infrastructure builders, energy transition leaders, government and regional stakeholders to map a practical delivery pathway for WA’s green compute opportunity.
