Sebastien Picard is Founder and CEO of xcube.co, a fintech venture studio operating across ASEAN and GCC markets from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bahrain. His work sits at the intersection of innovation, venture building, and institutional capital allocation, giving him a practitioner's view across the full lifecycle of company creation, from ideation through investment structuring to portfolio governance.
Before founding xcube, Sebastien spent over a decade in academic research and management education. He holds a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and ESCP Business School, with peer-reviewed research on how financial institutions actually implement regulation, navigate ethical complexity, and exercise corporate power.
He now applies that analytical discipline to a question the venture capital industry has largely avoided: whether new models of company creation can withstand the scrutiny that institutional capital demands.
