Prof. Gavin Brennen
Chief Quantum Officer, BTQ Technologies
Gavin Brennen is a professor of physics in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Macquarie University where he leads a theory research group working on quantum computing and simulation. As of 2025 he has served as Chief Quantum Officer at the Canadian company BTQ Technologies and directs the quantum computing and applications team at the subsidiary BTQ AU in Sydney. He is co-director of the Australian Quantum Software Network and serves on the Standards Australia Quantum Information Technology working group.
