Ms Skewes was appointed as WA Privacy Deputy Commissioner on 23 January 2026. Nina has over 14 years’ experience in privacy and regulatory leadership across both the public and private sectors, specialising in data protection, regulatory governance and emerging technology risk. Prior to her appointment, Nina served as the Asia Pacific Chief Privacy Officer and Regulatory Legal Counsel for a global professional services firm. Nina's experience has giving her deep insight into the practical challenges and opportunities presented by effective regulation.
