Janie Plant is a lawyer, technology governance leader, and one of WA's most influential voices at the intersection of law, artificial intelligence, and industry. She serves as Chair of Women in Technology Western Australia (WiTWA), a 27-year-old organisation with more than 8,000 members, and as a member of the WA State Government's AI Advisory Board. A qualified lawyer with deep expertise in technology law and emerging regulatory frameworks, Janie brings rare cross-disciplinary authority to AI governance, translating complex legal and policy developments into practical strategy for industry. Janie is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
